Yours for the Carters,: Freeman Kitchens: The Ultimate Multi-Tasker
This came across our transom today—a folklorist at Western Kentucky University has been interviewing the founder and president emeritus of the Carter Family Fan Club. The recordings are exhibited at WKU for the next few months; opening reception is August 27th. We’ve half a mind to leap in the car, pass a night at the old homestead in West Virginia, and check it out…though we probably won’t cause that’s right when school starts. Those of you nearer to Bowling Green might want to stop by.
