“Amber Tresses”

Andrew and Nancy Hunt and Jen Larson came over last Sunday to take another stab at “Amber Tresses.” (We’d tried it a few weeks ago but the baby got right up in the mic and screamed, so we scrapped that take.) Nancy brought over a chocolate pecan pie and ice cream…our kind of guests! We alternated beer and pie and sang about God, love, and death: the Carter family trifecta.
Nancy and Jen worked out a beautiful duet for this lovely song. Since Fran’s back is still not functioning and he can’t play guitar, he pulled out his little 1939 Martin 0-17 Hawaiian guitar from the closet and dusted it off.
The Hunts and Jen left around 4:00 and Leigh and Ben headed over to a little toddler Christmas party a few blocks away.
