The third of three tunes we recorded with Jen Larson (guitar and harmony vocals) and Charlie Shaw (snare) a few weeks ago. This is the flip side of “Why There’s a Tear In My Eye” and like that song is a duet between Sara Carter and Jimmie Rodgers. This is the ONLY gospel song the Drunk Brakeman — sorry— the Singing Brakeman ever recorded. This is a beautiful, beautiful song and Jen and I tried our hardest to replicate Jimmie and Sara’s harmonies.
This is the 70th Carter song we’ve recorded since we began this endless project last June!!
